Online tickets for all the ten matches at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata) for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017, scheduled for October, have been sold out...in just less than 24 hours.
The last time something like this happened was during the ticket sales for blockbuster film Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, where tickets were sold out instantly from the BookMyShow online portal.
The FIFA U17 World Cup ticket sales started on Tuesday, May 16, from 7.11 pm IST and a quick check at the FIFA website at around 7 pm IST on Wednesday, revealed this:
Tickets for the remaining five venues -- JLN Stadium in Kochi, Delhi and Goa, Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati and DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai -- are still available. Therefore, we need not stress the importance of you to book early, else miss the experience of a lifetime!
With the tickets priced shockingly low -- as low as Rs 48 -- the sale of tickets like hot cakes was bound to happen.
