SS Rajamouli, who is one of the hardest working Indian filmmakers, seems to be thinking of rest for some time, as he has reportedly gone to construct a beautiful farmhouse at a village near Hyderabad.
Many film-goers around the world want to know about SS Rajamouli's next project. But the director, who had been working on Baahubali film series for the last five years, is reportedly busy with the construction of his farmhouse at Kattangoor village, Nalgonda, about 200 kilometres from Hyderabad. It is reportedly being built with an old world charm and he is said to be spending his quality time with his family amidst nature.
Rajamouli is said to have roped in his friend Ravinder Reddy. "The house will be surrounded by mango, lemon, coconut and other trees which will be nurtured organically. From a vast car parking to space for outdoor activities, Rajamouli has everything planned. The director is a family man. For him, spending time with family is his version of 'me time'," a source told Deccan Chronicle.
His farmhouse will have eight rooms, a huge hall and an open kitchen. "It will have complete cross ventilation, with daylight coming in throughout the day. Ethnic colours like brown, maroon and green are being used and open sit outs are being planned. The furniture for the interiors will be made from teak wood. The wood will be seasoned and the stones (from Hampi, used in temples) will be used," the source added.
Rajamouli loves kids and his farmhouse will be full of playgrounds. "The house will have a terracotta-coloured cement flooring — a mix of sand, cement, jaggery and egg. The walls will be plain, with simple wall hangings. With a cricket ground, volleyball and a basketball court, there will be room for the more traditional sports like gilli danda, lagori, caroms, etc. There will be a rainwater harvesting system and a water body as well," the source informs.
However, Rajamouli has scored a blockbuster success with his recent release Baahubali 2, which has gone on to become the first Indian film to cross Rs 1,500 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The director is said to have been paid a record amount of money as remuneration and he deserves it. He has now become the highest paid film director in India.
