SS Rajamouli's Baahubali (Bahubali) 2 is going strong and continues to see a wonderful run at the box office in India and overseas. After creating a record of earning Rs 1,200 crore in two weeks, the Hindi version of the Prabhas-starrer has surpassed the Rs 500 crore gross mark.
The movie has been released in four languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The Hindi version is doing unexpectedly well and now, it has become the first Indian movie to make over Rs 500 crore in just 14 days.
On day 13, the nett earning was more than Rs 35 crore at the domestic box office, while gross collection was around Rs 50 crore. Thus, the total gross box office collection of the Hindi version of Baahubali 2 comes to around Rs 505 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Baahubali2 to surpass *lifetime biz* of #Dangal [₹ 387.38 cr]... Emerge HIGHEST GROSSER... First film to touch ₹ 400 cr... HINDI. Nett."
The film has already crossed the lifetime collection of Sultan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and PK. All the versions of Baahubali 2 — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam — are still going strong at the box office. In fact, the recent update is that the movie has got a wonderful response in Odisha, which has increased the earnings.
The actors – Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj – have done amazing work in the film. The buzz now is that director Rohit Shetty is keen to work with Prabhas. On the other hand, Rajamouli is considering Ranveer Singh for his upcoming venture.
Fans are waiting to see how much the magnum opus earns in its coming weeks. It has already broken the records of movies starring Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.
