The business of Baahubali 2 in Tamil Nadu has remained good in its fourth weekend as well. The multilingual movie is now the biggest box office hit in the state, beating Rajinikanth's Enthiran 2, which had minted Rs. 105 crore way back in 2010.
Baahubali 2 has grossed 120.4 crore in 24 days in Tamil Nadu from four versions (Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam). The net collection of the movie stands at Rs. 100.3 crore with distributors' share of Rs. 65.20 crore.
The weekend witnessed a good turnout of family audience. In its fourth weekend alone, Baahubali 2 collected close to Rs. 10 crore, which clearly tells that the movie is still pulling the audience to theatres in spite of a few new releases.
By the end of its third week, Baahubali 2 had grossed Rs 111.4 crore with a net income of Rs 90.6 crore and distributors' share of Rs 58.89 crore. The trade experts are expecting the movie to gross over Rs. 125 crore by the end of its fourth week.
SS Rajamouli's creation is now the biggest hit in Tamil Nadu. The movie started its journey on a good note after collecting Rs. 10.25 crore on the first day. The positive reviews translated into fantastic collection as it ended its first weekend on a high note by raking in over Rs. 31 crore.
Sri Green Productions acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights for Rs. 47 crore. The distributors are in for huge profits from Baahubali 2.
The worldwide gross collection of Baahubali 2 has crossed over Rs. 1550 crore. It is expected to touch Rs. 1800-crore mark in its lifetime.
