SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (Bahubali: The Conclusion) continued to make a superb collection at the worldwide box office in its third week. It has now set up a new club of Rs 1,500 crore grossing movies in 21 days.
With no competitors, Baahubali 2 achieved a thunderous performance at the global box office and collected Rs 1,250 crore gross in two weeks. Many thought that new releases, numbering over 15 films, from various languages would reduce its screen count and slow down its dream run at the ticket counters. As predicted, the new releases forced the film out of many screens, but they could not affect its business in the global market in its third week.
The Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer received a wonderful response everywhere, with some screens having houseful shows through out the week. Faring far better than the new releases, Baahubali 2 collected Rs 207 crore gross in India and Rs 45 crore gross in the international markets. The movie minted Rs 252 crore gross at the worldwide box office in third week. It is another record for an Indian film.
Baahubali 2 collected a total of Rs 1,502 crore gross at the worldwide box office in 21 days. Ramesh Bala, an observer of southern film industry tweeted: "#Baahubali2 in 3 Wks becomes the 1st Indian Movie to do ₹ 1,500 Cr India N : ₹ 953 Cr G : ₹ 1,227 Cr Overseas: ₹ 275 Cr T: ₹ 1,502 Crs?"

Baahubali 2 is clashing with Keshava (Telugu), Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae (Tamil) and Bangara s/o Bangaradha Manushya (Kannada), and Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium (Hindi) in its fourth week. However, the movie has better advance booking than the new releases and is likely to top the box office chart once again in its fourth week.
