Baahubali 2 (Bahubali 2) continued to make a good collection at the worldwide box office in its third weekend, but the Prabhas-starrer film has failed to cross the Rs 1,400 crore gross mark in 17 days
Baahubali 2 made a historic collection at the global box office in two weeks and moved closer to the mark of Rs 1,400 crore gross in 14 days. Trade experts were keeping their fingers crossed to see whether its business would be affected by the release of 15 new films in various languages in its third week. Yes, the screen count for Bahubali was reduced by the new films, but it did see a decent degree of footfalls in the third weekend.
Despite clashing with Sarkar 3 and Meri Pyaari Bindu, its Hindi version witnessed 100 percent occupancy in theatres across north India. Baahubali 2 collected approximately Rs 40 crore net at the domestic box office in its third weekend and its 17-day total collection stands at Rs 430 crore net, which is the highest amount earned by any Hindi film. Its gross collection has surpassed the mark of Rs 600 crore in the domestic market.
Its Tamil version clashed with Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen and two other small films, but it remained strong in cinema halls across Tamil Nadu. Baahubali 2 collected approximately Rs 8 crore at the TN box office in its third weekend, taking its 17-day total collection to Rs 105 crore gross. It has become the second film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in the state after Rajinkanth's Endhiran.
Baahubali 2 clashed with Radha and Venkatapuram, and collected over 40 crore at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box office in its third weekend. Its 17-day total collection has reached Rs 280 crore gross. In its third weekend, the SS Rajamouli-directed film has added Rs 10 crore to its Karnataka total of Rs 95 crore gross, and Rs 6 crore to its Kerala total of Rs 55 crore gross.
All the versions of Baahubali 2 collected a total of Rs 12 crore gross at the North America box office in its third weekend and its 17-day collection stands at Rs 124 crore gross ($19.10 million). The movie has raked in Rs 5 crore in other international markets, where its total collection stands at 105 crore gross.

The Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer collected approximately Rs 1,145 crore gross at the Indian market and Rs 227 crore at the international markets by the end of its third weekend. All the versions of Baahubali 2 have collected a total of Rs 1,372.2 crore gross at the worldwide box office in 17 days. The movie was expected to surpass the Rs 1,400 crore mark in third weekend, but it has failed to achieve the feat.
