SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 is showing no signs of slowing down as the movie continues to enjoy good viewership. The movie is now aiming to touch humongous Rs. 1500-crore mark at the global box office.
On its 12th day, the multilingual movie has minted close to Rs 30 crore at the worldwide box office. The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 has performed better compared to the regional versions. In India alone, the movie, which has Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in the female leads, made over Rs. 20 crore.
Baahubali 2 is now nearing towards reaching Rs. 750-crore mark (net) and the Hindi version is set to become the first Bollywood to mint Rs. 400 crore (net). In its home territory of Andhra and Telangana, the Shobu Yarlagadda-produced flick has raked in over Rs. 150 crore for distributors and the gross collection is expected to reach Rs. 300 crore in its lifetime. In Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, the SS Rajamouli's creation is expected to gross over Rs. 100 crore.
The traders are predicting Baahubali 2 to reach Rs. 1250-crore mark in the next few days and they expect SS Rajamouli-directorial to easily cross Rs. 1400 crore mark in its lifetime. They are curiously looking forward to see whether the Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer will breach Rs. 1500-crore mark, which will be a difficult record to break for any Indian film in the near future.
Baahubali 2 has shattered almost every single record at the box office in India. The movie, which was released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam, has done earth-shattering business in all four versions. It is credited to be the first movie to reach Rs. 1000-crore mark at the worldwide box office.
Released in over 8000 screens worldwide, Baahubali 2 minted over Rs. 200 crore at the worldwide box office on the opening day, which was the clear sign of the hype surrounding the film.
