Alia Bhatt after debuting in Dharma Production's "Student of the Year" has not looked back and within a short career span has delivered hit after hit.
According to some reports, the bubbly actress has now won the heart of ace filmmaker Ayan Mukherji with her acting chops. Mukherji is said to be keen on working with the talented lass and is even in talks with the actress for the same, reported The Times of India. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
With "2 States" crossing the prestigious 100 crore-mark and the recently-released "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" making good money, no wonder filmmakers are queuing up to sign Bhatt in their flicks.
While the 30-year-old director is known to be good friends with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif and has also cast them before, looks like lady luck is currently smiling on Bhatt. If the deal goes through, Bhatt may prove to be a tough competitor to her contemporaries Kaif and Padukone, who love to work with the young director, as he has delivered quite a few blockbuster movies in the past including "Wake Up Sid" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani".
Mukherji had earlier stated that he can only think of casting his best friend and Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor as the male lead in all of his films, and assuming his statement, it appears that the duo will team up once again.
Incidentally, the "2 States" star is a huge fan of the "Besharam" actor. If things work out, Bhatt will be seen romancing Kapoor for the first time and it will be interesting to see if the two succeed attracting attention with their sizzling chemistry or if it will fall shy of the fire that seems to erupt every time Kapoor and Padukone share screen space.
Bhatt, 21, is currently riding on the success of "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" along with co-star Varun Dhavan. She will next be seen in Vikas Bahl's "Shaandar" opposite Shahid Kapoor.
