Hollywood superhero film "Avengers: Age of Ultron" has got superb opening and received good collection at the Indian box office in two days, but it has failed to beat the business record of "Furious 7".
"Avengers: Age of Ultron 2" is a sequel to "Avengers", which was a big hit at the Indian box office. Ever since it was announced, Hollywood movie buffs in the country were closely following the process of its making and the release of its promos. Considering their curiosity, the makers have had a massive promotion for the film across the country.
After looking at the huge hype and publicity, Indian trade experts predicted that "Avengers: Age of Ultron 2" would open to a massive response and beat all the new Indian releases like "Ishq Ke Parindey", "Jai Ho! Democracy" and "Kaagaz Ke Fools".
As predicted, "Avengers: Age of Ultron 2" debuted with an overwhelming response and also took a toll on the new Hindi releases. The film did superb collection at the Indian box office on the first day and despite getting mixed reaction from viewers, it showed decent growth on Saturday as well.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron 2" has collected ₹22.80 crore net at the Indian box office in two days (Friday and Saturday). Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#AvengersAgeOfUltron is a one-horse race. Gallops speedily. Fri 10.95 cr, Sat 11.85 cr. Total: ₹ 22.80 cr. India biz. FANTASTIC!"
"Furious 7", which was the last film of late Paul Walker, has collected ₹12.30 crore in its paid previews in India on 2 April (Thursday). Despite clashing with big-ticket Bollywood film "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy", the Hollywood film collected ₹12 crore on its second day, taking its two day total to ₹24.30 crore.
However, "Avengers: Age of Ultron 2" has failed to beat this two days collection record.
