Avengers: Endgame's full-length trailer may arrive in January next year but the recently released teaser has provided the fans with a lot of material to speculate. Fans from around the world are coming up with different theories about Tony Stark and Captain America and how time travel is the only way to change Thanos' action. A most recent theory by a fan, however, deals with Thanos' decision of destroying half the Universe and how his regret will actually help the Avengers.
In Avengers: Infinity War, as per the rules to acquire Soul Stone, Thanos had to sacrifice someone he truly loved. It came as a surprise to everyone, including his own daughter that in the whole world, Thanos only loved Gamora. In order to get the infinity stone, he sacrifices her as well.
After decimating half the Universe, there was a scene that showed Thanos with a young Gamora in an upside-down world version of the gazebo where they first met. When Gamora asks him, "Did you do it?" The Mad Titan replies with an affirmation but when she asks him what did his actions cost him, he simply says, "Everything."
As per the latest fan theory, Thanos may have some regrets about his actions and would love to change them as well. As per the Redditor, when the Avengers will fight Thanos in Endgame, the Mad Titan will simply state to them that he cannot reverse what he has done but will provide them with a way to stop his actions.
As per the fan, Thanos may suggest the Avengers that they all have to go back in time and make sure that he does not acquire the infinity stones in the first place. The Avengers will now travel through the portal together to face a younger merciless Thanos who has no infinity stones. Now, Avengers will fight Thanos who is not the strongest person and has no idea about the grim future, which he would create.
