Marvel Studio will have some sorting out to do because Tom Holland might have just revealed an important plot spoiler from Avengers 4. The king of spoilers, who recently revealed the title of Spider-Man: Homecoming 2, confirmed an important plot detail featuring Doctor Strange and the Ant-Man and the Wasp mid-credits scene.
In a video interaction, which looks like it was taken during the promotion of Avengers: Infinity War, the Spider-Man actor and Benedict Cumberbatch are seated discussing their dialogues in the movie. While the Russo Brothers had previously revealed that none of the stars knew what was going on in the scene, the actors were merely handed over pages of dialogues to deliver for their scenes.
It was while discussing these dialogues that Holland revealed Doctor Strange had tough dialogues because he had to explain about the Quantum Realm whereas Holland only had to act as though he understands what's going on.
"He has the most difficult lines though. He has to talk about so much Quantum Realm stuff. I just have to talk about, 'Yeah, man, that's awesome!' So mine is easy but his is so difficult!" he said.
Now, for those who have watched Avengers: Infinity War, you'd know that there was not the slightest of mention about the Quantum Realm. However, an elaborate explanation was given in Ant-Man and the Wasp. An important mid-credits scene was also attached in the movie focusing on the realm which connected the movie to Infinity War.
The slip by Holland goes to confirm that Ant-Man and the Quantum Realm will play a huge role in Avengers 4. The slip also adds fuel to the ongoing Avengers 4 theories where the Quantum Realm plays the key element.
Quantum Realm is considered as a Microverse in the Marvel comics. The concept of time and space is rather different from the Earth that we see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "Time and physics and space work very differently down there," Kevin Feige told Slash Film earlier this year.
We'll have to wait until May 3, 2019, for Avengers 4 to find out which fan theory comes true.
