Bajaj's two Pulsars were the most unexpected vehicles to debut at the 12th edition of Delhi Auto Expo. When millions of fans of Bajaj were expecting the jazzed up version of 200NS Pulsar, the two wheeler manufacturer has gone ahead and unveiled the two brilliant bikes Pulsar SS400 (Super Sport 400) and Pulsar CS400 (Cruiser Sport 400).
Although the bike maker did not divulge any information about the pricing and the availability of the two mighty bikes in the domestic market, reports indicate that the CS 400 and SS 400 Pulsars would make its way to Indian market within a year. The Super Sport 400 Pulsar would be the first to hit the market and the CS 400 would follow soon.
Flaunting stylish design, the CS 400 and SS 400 Pulsars follow the design philosophy of the KTM Duke 390 .Both bikes pack 375cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple spark engine and is mated to a six-speed transmission, with fuel injection. Pulsar SS400 shares similarities with the earlier rumoured Pulsar 375 and comes with exciting features like split seat, mudguard-mounted taillight and clip-on handle bars. The bikes also house anti-lock braking systems (ABS).
The models are likely to be priced aggressively in the market as the bike maker is expecting tight competition from other two wheeler manufacturers. It is also believed that the Pune-based bike maker would position its two new bikes below the KTM 390 Duke.
The Pulsar SS 400 is likely to fall in the price brackets of INR1.9 and 2.1 lakhs (ex-showroom), while the other CS 400 likely to come with a price tag of INR1.7 to 1.85 lakhs (ex-showroom), according to IndianCarsBikes,
