The spectacular duo of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis, fondly referred to as 'Santina', have made it to the Women's Doubles final of the Australian Open 2016 on Wednesday.
The Indo-Swiss combination, who are on a jaw-dropping roll on court, got past the German-Czech pair of Julia Goerges and Karolina Pliskova in their semi final match today with an as-easy-as-it-looks 6-1 6-0 victory at the Rod Laver Arena.
'Santina', top seeds in the Women's Doubles category, will now take on the pair of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka, seeded seventh, in the final of the competition.
Sania and Hingis have now taken their winning streak together on court to an enviable 35.
"We get along on the court, we suit each other and we consolidate each other's games," Indian sensation Sania said about her partnership with Hingis, after the match.
