A studio audience was shocked to see an Australian rugby player break his arm live on TV arm wrestling with another player for charity on The Footy Show on Thursday night (11 June).
Former NRL (National Rugby League) player Ben Rosss right arm snapped just a few seconds into an arm wrestle with former NRL star Wendell Sailor.
Reports said the incident shocked the studio audience and saw the Nine Network cut to adverts while Ross received treatment.
The 35-year-old Ross was taken by ambulance to a Sydney hospital where X-rays confirmed he broke the humerus in his right arm, reports said.
Ross later tweeted: Thanks for everyones messages of concern and also wishes. Will know full extent of the break etc soon.
