July was a lacklustre month for video game players. But August looks promising, with many releases coming for PS4 and Xbox One.
Some of the big names that will make their debut in August include Madden NFL 16, Until Dawn, and Gears of War Ultimate Edition.
Multi-Platform Game Releases
Post-apocalyptic video game, Submerged, will be the first one to roll out for PC and PS4 on 4 August, 2015. It will be released to Xbox One on 7 August.
Madden NFL fans can gear up for Madden NFL 16, the latest in the series. This National Football League based video game will be rolling out on 25 August for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
On 25 August, players can expect the roll out of Nova-111, a sci-fi adventure video game. It will be having both turn-based and real-time gameplay. Players will have to fight aliens in space. As players navigate their vehicles through the space, they are there for a mission to fix space-time and search scientists lost during the "Universe's Greatest Science Experiment." Players will have to navigate through the puzzles and engage in strategic battles. Nova 111 will be releasing for PC, Mac, Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U.
The next game that will be rolling out is Dishonored Definitive Edition, which is made for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles from its original 2012's Dishonored. This one will have a better looking gameplay. It will be released on 25 August.
PS4 Games up for Release
The Castle Game, strategy defence game with single player will be rolling out to PS4 on 4 August. The game promises players experience of medieval times, enabling them to build fortress, use medieval weaponry, create mazes, walls, traps and more.
Galak-Z: The Dimensional isa2D sci-fi shooter video game. The game has been inspired by he Japanese anime. There is a PC version too, but no date has been revealed but the PS4 version will be out on 4 August.
Sword Art Online: Re: Hollow Fragment is the second in the series and was created for PS4 and PS Vita on 28 July in North America and 4 August for European countries. This new game will have online play mode, more bosses and new characters to play.
AeternoBlade, developed by Corecell Technology is a 2D action game that tells the story of survivor called Fryja from a massacred village. She has promised to take revenge on the Dark Lord of the Mist, Beladim and the journey continues in the game. This will be coming to PS4 on 4 August.
Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is a game with open world settings will be based on six characters that have their own story to tell. The game takes place during the apocalypse. The game will be rolling out on 11 August to PS4.
Gauntlet: Slayer Edition from Arrowhead Game Studios is a four-player co-op action where players will have to battle hordes of enemies. The game will be released on 11 August to PS4.
Goat Simulator allows players to wreck anything up with the crazy goat. Following its popularity after it was released on Steam, the game is now heading to PS3 and PS on 11 August.
Volume is a stealth game that features a modern Robin Hood. It has all kinds of modern weaponry and gadgets. This game will be rolling out on PC, Mac, PS Vita and PS4 on 18 August.
Until Dawn is a horror survival game redesigned for PS4. Players will have to make some moral and ethical calls in the game that can influence the game development and the result.
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is a action video game from Omega Force that has been scheduled to be released on 25 August to PC, PS Vita, PS3 and PS4.
Xbox One Games up for Release
Xbox One will be getting Rare Replay on 4 August. This game is a collection of 30 classic Rare games. This edition is in celebration of the thirtieth anniversary.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a remastered version of the original Gears of War. This new version will be bringing multiplayer mode to the game. It will be released on 25 August to PC and Xbox One.
In conclusion, PlayStation 4 has a bigger line-up of games that are expected for release in August. As far as PS4 is concerned, Goat Simulator and Until Dawn are the games to watch out for. With regard to Xbox One, it will definitely be Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
