The audio and teaser release plans of Rajinikanth's forthcoming Tamil movie "Kabali" have reportedly undergone changes. This has left the superstar's fans disappointed.
A report on Indiaglitz claims the makers have now postponed the release of both by a month for reasons best known to them. While the teaser will reportedly appear in the first week of April, the audio songs will be released in the second week of the month.
The original plan was to release both in March. Editor KL Praveen had announced recently he had started editing the flick and it was seen as an indication that the teaser would release earlier than expected.
The latest development has not gone down well with Rajinikanth's fans, who have been eagerly waiting for the teaser and audio releases with bated breath.
On the other hand, there is also buzz that the release of "Kabali," which was supposed to hit the screens May 1, has been pushed due to forthcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The poll fever is gripping the state and filmmakers are hesitant over releasing their movies in this period, as people will be more interested in politics than films. It is now said "Kabali" might hit the screens in the last week of May or in June.
"Kabali," which has been made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, is written and directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu. Santhosh Narayanan is scoring the music and G Murali has handled the cinematography. Radhika Apte has paired up with Rajinikanth in "Kabali," which is about an ageing gangster. Dinesh Ravi, Kalaiyarasan, Dhansika, John Vijay and others are in the cast.
The movie has been shot majorly in Malaysia and its principal photography was completed last month. It is currently in the post-production phase.
