It was recently reported that Think Music was in the race to acquire the audio rights of "Kabali" and finally it has managed to grab it. The news has been formally announced by producer Kalaippuli S Thanu on Twitter.
He wrote, "Amidst heavy competition @thinkmusicindia has bagged Tamil,Telugu & Hindi Audio rights of #Kabali, Audio launch details will be shared soon! [sic]"
The audio company too shared its excitement as it posted, "Super excited to have #Kabali Music with us! This is our 2nd movie with @superstarrajini after #Enthiran! #KabaliDaThinkMusicDa #KabaliAudio [sic]." Santhosh Narayanan has composed music for "Kabali."
The interesting fact about the development is that "Kabali" marks the 10th collaboration of Think Music with Santhosh Narayanan. Some of the other notable projects are "Madras," "Enakkul Oruvan" and "Jigarthanda."
It has to be noted that Think Music had acquired the audio rights of Kalaippuli S Thanu's last two films like "Kanithan" and "Theri." The audio label is teaming up with director Pa Ranjith for the third time after "Attakathi" and "Madras." These associations make "Kabali" a special deal for Think Music.
While the makers have not given a clue about the number of songs in the film, it is believed that the album will have standard five tracks with a bonus theme to woo the fans of Rajinikanth.
Meanwhile, the makers have planned to release "Kabali" audio by June 10. The music is more likely to be out on June 9. It is believed that the album will be launched in a grand function, which will be attended by the who's who of Kollywood.
"Kabali" is about an ageing gangster played by Rajinikanth. The story is primarily set in Malaysia. Radhika Apte and Dhansika play female leads in the flick, which has Kishore, Kalaiyarasan, Dinesh Ravi, John Vijay and others in the supporting cast.
The movie will hit the screens on July 1.
