Audi India has expanded its A4 line-up in India with the launch of the new A4 Premium Sport edition.
A4 Premium Sport edition, the new mid-level variant, has been priced at ₹38 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is positioned between A4 Technology Pack and A4 Premium variants.
Under the hood, the new edition of the car also packs the same two-litre, four-cylinder TDI diesel motor, which can churn out a power of 175.6bhp at 4,200rpm and peak torque of 380Nm between 1,750-2,500rpm. The engine comes mated to Audi's Multitronic CVT gearbox and the car can attain 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. The car claims to give a fuel efficiency of 17.11kmpl.
Visually, the vehicle gets a re-worked front bumper and there is also carbon-black styling package wing mirrors, door moulding and window sills. The car rides on 17-inch, 20-spoke alloy wheels and features an S Line logo on door sill with an additional Stone Guard. Inside the cabin, it gets black upholstery.
Audi will be selling the new edition in two colours - red and white. And the A4 Premium Sport is likely to be a limited edition.
Recently in India, Audi recalled 6,758 units of A4 sedans for the software update of airbag control unit and 382 units of its premium sports utility vehicle Q7 to replace faulty vacuum line in brake system. The recall was part of Audi's global exercise, in which it recalled 8.5 lakh units of the A4 sedan to replace the faulty airbag and 70,000 units of sedans A4, A5, A6 and A7 and SUVs Q5 and Q7 to fix the problem with the faulty vacuum line in brake system.
