In a bid to encash on its high sales in the country, Audi India has launched a new entry level A4 for the ongoing festive season priced at ₹25.66 lakh.
The luxury brand will make available the latest Celebration Edition A4 in the domestic market for a short period of time soon.
Audi A4 Celebration Edition with the 2.0-litre turbocharged, diesel engine that makes 145PS and 320Nm of torque will be available in white only.
The latest A4 has ditched its patent Quattro system to cut back on costs and instead offers only a front wheel drive, which means Audi will come equipped with 16-inch wheels as compared to the larger 17-inch wheels. This luxury 'wagen' will lose the sunroof that is available on higher variants of the A4.
The Audi A4 Celebration Edition will not come with the wooden trim on the dashboard but instead will have a simpler black trim.
Another shocker in this edition will be that the electrically adjustable seats found in higher variants have been replaced by passenger seats that is to be manually adjusted.
In order to trim down the price tag, the Celebration Edition will have a rear-parking sensor with beep assist instead of its reversing camera and all-round parking sensors.
The model, which belongs to the line of compact executive cars, produced by the German automobile company is ₹6 lakh cheaper that the next variant in the Audi A4 range.
While the 'cutprice' offering could be an excellent value proposition for a first time Audi buyer, the Celebration Edition loses much of its sheen.
