There were rumours that Arjun Kapoor and Athiya Shetty are in relationship and the duo has been dating each other for the past few months. Although Arjun has kept mum about the buzz, Athiya has now opened up on the rumours.
While the "Hero" actress has not directly denied the linkup rumours with Arjun, she said that such gossip does not bother her or her family. "I don't take linkup rumours seriously as long as I, my family and close ones know the truth. I don't give any thought to it," Athiya told the Press Trust of India.
"My father has been in the industry for so long and he understands that all these things come with a celebrity status. We don't give any importance to it. Such reports don't make our dinner table conversations," added Suniel Shetty's daughter, Athiya.
Earlier Bollywoodlife had reported that Arjun and Athiya have been attending a lot of parties together and the duo's relationship grew in those public gatherings. The report also said that Arjun and his rumoured girlfriend were present at Punit Malhotra's recent birthday bash but the two avoided being clicked together.
In the past, Arjun has been linked to a number of B-Town ladies such as Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra. However, the actor was reportedly in a serious relationship with Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan Sharma.
While Athiya made her Bollywood debut along with Sooraj Pancholi in the movie "Hero," Arjun is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming movie "Ki and Ka" starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. Directed by R Balki, "Ki and Ka" will present Arjun as a house-husband and Kareena as an ambitious working wife. The film will hit screens April 1.
