Jalpaiguri, Dec 27 (ANI): At least five people were killed and several others injured when a bomb tied to a bicycle exploded in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. Superintendent of police, Amit P Jawalgi said that he was expecting such an incident because Martyrs Day was being celebrated in the region. Jawalgi confirmed that nine people were injured in the blast on Thursday. The blast occurred at around 7 pm in Bajrapara area and the injured were admitted to the Jalpaiguri District Hospital. A high alert has been sounded across the state after the incident.
