After launching four Zenfone 3 smartphones and two powerful laptops in India on Wednesday, Asus has some great news for us all once again. Ahead of the much-anticipated IFA 2016 event early next month, Asus has announced an event for August 31 and an official teaser shared on Twitter has the caption "Incredible is coming."
What's really going to happen is all a mystery for now, but there are a few close guesses. Firstly, this event is expected to be the platform for the launch of a smartphone, the ZenWatch 3. If the reports are to be believed, Asus will be unveiling the third generation of its ZenWatch series this month, which will also complete one-year upgrade cycle of the ZenWatch 2.
There is no official word or any hint from the company, which links the upcoming launch event to ZenWatch 3. It is also possible that the company might launch a smartphone, a table or a new laptop as well. Since we have heard a lot about the ZenWatch 3, but nothing official has been announced, this event could be the place and time for its launch.
There have been several leaks about the ZenWatch 3 in recent days. The smartwatch was originally leaked in FCC documents earlier this month and not too long ago series of photos of the ZenWatch 3 were also leaked. Going by the leaked information, the ZenWatch 3 will be the company's first round-dial smartwatch.
The photos were leaked on Chinese website ePrice, which also featured the accessories along with the watch. According to GSMArena, the ZenWatch 3's design looks like a traditional wrist watch with three buttons on the right side to help navigate through different options. Interchangeable straps and charging ring were also seen in the leaked photos.
We'll know more official details at Asus' event on August 31, so stay tuned.
