Asus has launched the new Zenfone Max model in India with drastic upgrades. It comes in two variants, one with a 2GB RAM priced at Rs. 9,999, and the other with a 3GB RAM costing Rs. 12,999. So, it is obvious that the device will have to take on a few popular devices, including the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (32GB) and Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, which are currently available in the Indian market for Rs. 11,999.
So how will the new handset fair against Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Lenovo K4 Note? Which device should you buy? It is not easy to choose one from the lot, but here is the specification comparison to help you buy the handset that best suits you:
Display
All the three devices sport a 5.5-inch display, but what makes all the difference is the screen resolution. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has 403ppi pixel density, compared to 401ppi in Lenovo Vibe K4 Note and 267 ppi in Asus Zenfone Max.
Processor
The Zenfone Max is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, while the Redmi Note 3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, and the Vibe K4 Note has a Mediatek MT6753.
Operating System
The Zenfone Max runs Andorid 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, while the other two devices run the Android Lollipop operating system.
Storage
The Vibe K4 Note comes packed with 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB) and 3GB RAM, while the Redmi Note 3 has 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM. The Zenfone Max, on the other hand, has 16GB internal memory expandable up to 64GB via microSD card and 2/3GB RAM.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 houses a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Battery

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has the same screen resolution as Lenovo K4 Note. It scores over the other two devices in terms of processor and camera, while the K4 Note has an edge in storage. The Zenfone Max has a powerful 5,000mAh battery but its 267ppi screen resolution could be a turn-off for many.
