Asus launched the Zenfone 5Z to compete against OnePlus 6 and those who bought the premium Asus smartphone are in for a big treat. The camera is a crucial part of a smartphone these days, and Asus has just rolled out a series of improvements to the Zenfone 5Z camera that will impress its users.
After releasing the first major software update to the Zenfone 5Z at the time of launch in July, Asus is making another run towards victory. Enhancing the overall camera experience of its Zenfone 5Z users, Asus' new smartphone now supports RAW capture, Panorama mode, improvements to existing camera modes such as slow-mo video capture at 720p and much more.
Asus Zenfone 5Z users can now capture photos in RAW format, which will enable more controls as compared to JPEG images so the photos can then be used it for post-processing in photo editing apps such as Photoshop. This is an incredible option for those professionals who would like to capture beautiful scenic frames or capture a moment without having to carry their bulky DSLRs.
Asus Zenfone 5Z also gets support for Panorama mode, which was missing from the phone initially. Panorama is a pretty standard feature that smartphone cameras come equipped with out-of-the-box, and this update puts an end to all the criticism.
Besides, there are several improvements to the Zenfone 5Z camera, such as real-time filters, improved HDR, stability, auto exposure, sharpness, autofocus and audio quality. Check out the complete change-log for the camera of Asus Zenfone 5Z after the latest software update.

It is recommended to connect to a secure Wi-Fi network in order to download the new update as it may exhaust your daily/monthly data limit. And in case you haven't received the notification, go to Settings > Software updates > and check for updates manually.
Asus Zenfone 5Z packs an impressive camera setup, which makes the latest software update an important one. The handset comes with dual rear-facing camera with 12MP+8MP sensors with 4K video recording support, EIS, OIS and LED flash. On the front is an 8MP snapper for selfies.
Asus Zenfone 5Z made heads turn with its competitive price, making it the cheapest Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone. The base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage costs Rs 29,999, which is Rs 5,000 cheaper than OnePlus 6 with similar configuration.
