Taiwanese smartphone-maker Asus is planning to release the top-end variant of Zenfone 3 Deluxe with Qualcomm's latest processor series in India.
The Zenfone 3 Deluxe, which was unveiled at Computex 2016, Taipei in May, came with Snapdragon 820 CPU.
Now, it has come to light that Asus has upgraded the model with superior Snapdragon 821 SoC (System-on-Chip) and is confirmed to make its debut in India later this year, the Times of India reported.
The Snapdragon 821 is said to be faster and 10 percent more powerful than the Snapdragon 820 processor found in the current crop of flagship phones, which includes LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7 series and HTC 10, among others.
The top-end Zenfone 3 Deluxe is said to come with Snapdragon 821 CPU+6GB RAM+256GB storage configuration. The other key features, such as camera hardware, battery and display, are expected to remain the same as seen inside the original model.
It sports a 5.7-inch full HD display with fingerprint sensor on the back, 23MP primary camera with Sony IMX318 sensor, laser autofocus (with proprietary TriTech system), PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) with 0.03 second focusing ability, f/2.0 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilisation, 3-axis electronic image stabilisation for steady 4K UHD video recording. It also features 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge v3.0 technology and Type C v3.0 USB port.
Besides Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Asus is expected to launch two more models — a generic Zenfone 3 variant and a phablet, Zenfone 3 Ultra, as well.
