Taiwanese consumer electronics major Asus officially launched the new Zenfone 3 Deluxe version in the company's home market Taipei on Tuesday.
Asus' new Zenfone 3 Deluxe version will come with the Qualcomm's recently unveiled Snapdragon 821 SoC (System-on-Chip) later in the year, reported Engadget.
The Snapdragon 821 is said to be faster and 10 percent more powerful than the Snapdragon 820 processor found in current crop of flagship phones, which includes LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7 series, HTC 10, among others.
Previously, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 7 was rumoured to be the first commercial phone to boast the aforementioned chipset. But, with the announcement, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe becomes the first official device in the smartphone industry to boast Snapdragon 821 CPU.
Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe will be offered three configurations- Snapdragon 821 CPU+6GB RAM+256GB storage, Snapdragon 820 CPU + 6GB RAM+ 64GB storage and Snapdragon 820 CPU + 4GB+ 32GB storage for NT$24,000 ($745/€671/Rs.50,056), NT$17,990($559/€503/Rs.37,514), and NT$15,990($497/€447/Rs.33,344), respectively.
Rest of the key features such as camera hardware, battery and display remain same in all three models.

They come with 5.7-inch full HD display with fingerprint sensor on the back, 23MP primary camera with Sony IMX318 sensor, laser autofocus (with proprietary TriTech system), PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) with 0.03 second focusing ability, f/2.0 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilisation, 3-axis electronic image stabilisation for steady 4K UHD video recording. It also features 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge v3.0 technology and Type C v3.0 USB port.
