Asus is all set to launch its much-hyped device Asus Zenfone 2 in India on 23 April, a few days after it showcased it earlier this week. The device will come in three variants - ZenFone 2 ZE500CL, ZenFone 2 ZE550ML and ZenFone 2 ZE551ML, which means it will take on several smartphones currently available in the price-conscious Indian market.
The ZenFone 2 ZE500CL is the cheapest among the variants. It is priced TWD 4,990 (around ₹9,930 / $159), while the ZE550ML comes with a price tag of TWD 5,990 (around ₹11,900 / $191), and the ZE551ML model will come in 2GB and 4GB RAM variants with price ranging from TWD 6,990 (around ₹13,900 / $224) to TWD 9990 (around ₹19,850 / $320).
The ZenFone 2 ZE550ML model is likely to take on mid-range devices like Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen and Microsoft Lumia 730 Dual Sim though it has not revealed its price for India. It wouldn't come as a surprise if it comes with a price tag of around ₹13,000 though it is selling it at TWD 5,990 (around ₹11,900 / $191) in Taiwan.
