It is not sure if Asus Zenfone 2 ZE500CL will be released in India along with other two variants - ZenFone 2 ZE550ML and ZenFone 2 ZE551ML – but if it does, it will compete with devices like Micromax Yu Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G in the Indian smartphone market.
Asus is releasing Zenfone 2 device in India on Wednesday, 15 April but several reports claimed that only ZE550ML, ZE551ML 2GB RAM, and ZE551ML 4GB models will be launched in India. So, it is not sure if Asus Zenfone 2 ZE500CL model will hit Indian stores on Wednesday or at a later date.
The Zenfone 2 ZE500CL is expected to fall in the price bracket of ₹9,000 and ₹12,000. According to Asus official website, the ZE500CL model will be priced at TWD 4,990 (around ₹9,930 / $159) while Asus France tweeted that the entry-level device comes with a price tag of €179 (approximately $193 / ₹12,000). On the other hand, Micromax Yu Yureka is priced ₹8,999 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is priced ₹9,999.

Display
Sporting massive 5.5-inch screens, the Redmi Note 4G and Yu Yureka score over ZenFone 2 ZE500CL which has a 5-inch screen. However, the device from Asus has better picture display with 294 ppi compared to 267 ppi in Redmi Note 4G and Yu Yureka.
Hardware
Powered by Atom Z2560 processor, Asus ZenFone 2 ZE500CL scores over Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 seen in Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 in Micromax Yu Yureka.
Software
Asus ZenFone 2 ZE500CL runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, while the Xiaomi device comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat) and Micromax Yu Yureka runs on CyanogenMod Android 4.4.4 KitKat. So, Asus' device scores over its possible competitors.

Conclusion: It is not very fair to compare the devices as Asus has not revealed the price of its ZenFone 2 ZE500CL in India as it could come with a higher price tag.
