After weeks of delay, Asus has finally begun rolling out Android Marshmallow to the Zenfone 2 Laser series.
The new update (build version: 13.10.6.16_M3.6.44) is being released Over-The-Air (OTA) to the Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE500KL). Since the OTA roll-out process is being carried out in phases, it will take at least a week to reach all the corners of the world.
How to check OTA update manually:
Go to Settings >> About phone >> check System updates
Once Android Marshmallow has been installed in the device, Google Messenger, Calendar, and Gmail apps will automatically replace three ZenUI app -- ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail and ASUS Calendar -- as the default apps, the company said on the official Asus ZenTalk blog.
