Taiwan-based technology firm Asus on Wednesday launched in India what it claims to be the 'world's first dual OS all-in-one PC' with a starting price at ₹86, 999.
The newly launched all-in-one PC comes with a detachable display that can also be used as a standalone tablet. The device which is targeted at corporate executives, home CIOs, architects and design studios received good response in US, Japan and Australia where it went on sale in October last year.
"With the introduction of new product, we are creating a new segment or in other words all-in-one product. Our efforts are to grow this new segment by coming out with innovative products and which gel with the consumers' demand," said ASUS (India) Country Head (Component Business) Vinay Shetty.
"We have already sold around 1,000 units both in Australia and Japan since its launch in October."
The Transformer AiO PC includes a desktop PC Station with a third generation Intel Core desktop processor for Windows 8 performance and a detachable 18.4-inch LED-backlit capacitive IPS touchscreen of 1920x1080p resolution with its own Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC quad-core processor.
The detached display includes a 1-megapixel front-mounted webcam, Android Jelly Bean 4.1, 2GB of RAM, 32GB storage and 38W battery.
Talking about its desktop specifications, Transformer AiO PC packs Core i3 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M GPU. It comes with 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 1TB hard drive and runs on Windows 8.
The Asus Transformer AiO P1801 comes in two variants - Core i3 and Core i5 processors, for ₹86,999 and ₹92,999, respectively.
