Earlier this year in February, Asus had globally unveiled the new voice-calling Fonepad tablet PC at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2103 in Barcelona, Spain. Now, the Taiwanese technology major has begun to send out invites for the launch event of the flagship device in India.
According to reports, Peter Chang, regional head of South Asia, Country Manager (System Business Group), Asus India and Debjani Ghosh, managing director (Sales & Marketing Group), Intel South Asia, are expected to preside over the launch event in Delhi.
Asus Fonepad sports a 7.0-inch, 10-point multi-touch screen with IPS display technology and it runs on the Android mobile OS v4.1 Jelly Bean. It packs Intel Atom based processor with 1.2GHz CPU speed.
The new tablet also comes with voice-calling and 3G data connectivity features.
