Taiwanese PC maker Asus on Monday launched its touch-based 'VivoBook S550' ultrabook in India. The new ultrabook comes endowed with an exclusive Asus smart gesture technology for improved touch input.
Peter Chang, Regional Head of South Asia and Asus India said, "ASUS has developed a range of Instant Functions especially for Windows 8, enabling fuller immersion in the new operating system. ASUS VivoBook S550 ushers in completely new touch experiences with its all-glass panel."
The new ultrabook packs an exclusive Asus Super Hybrid Engine II technology which makes the system boot faster. VivoBook S550 takes just two seconds to get switched on from sleep or hibernate mode and its data gets automatically backed up if battery power drops below 5 percent,

Asus claims that the VivoBook offers pristine sound clarity at wider audio range and also features exclusive AudioWizard software with selectable modes to play music, movies and games on the system.
The VivoBook S550 is priced at ₹55,237, but the MRP will vary according to local taxes.
