Taiwanese consumer electronics major Asus on December 19 launched the top-end Zenfone 3 Max variant in India.
The Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) is an upgraded version of the ZC520TL model. Both were launched in India last month on November 9. Only now, it has been made available in Indian stores. Key difference between the two is that while the former comes with the 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) resolution screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, 16MP camera with Laser autofocus and 8MP front snapper, the latter features smaller 5.2-inch HD (1280x720p) screen, MediaTek MT6737M quad-core CPU, 13MP primary shooter and a 5MP camera on the front.
The other specifications, such as battery, storage and RAM capacity, are the same in both the devices. They sport full metal body on the back and come with a 4,100mAh battery, which is capable of keeping the phone running for about 35 days under standby mode, up to 20 hours on talk time (3G) and 4G/LTE web browsing, and 15 hours on video playback, 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM.

The new Zenfone 3 Max's 5.5 inch (ZC553KL) model costs Rs 17,999 at select Asus authorised partner retail outlets and all major e-commerce portals in the country.
The 5.2 inch (ZC520TL) model is already available in India at major stores and e-commerce sites for Rs 12,999.
Asus Zenfone 3 Max will be up against the popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, Moto G4 series, the recently-launched K6 Power, the K6 Note, and Moto M, among others.
