Taiwanese technology major Asustek Computer reportedly witnessed a record market share growth in 2015.
Asustek Computer captured a staggering 40 percent market share in niche gaming PC sector, reported DigiTimes. At this rate, Asus is expected to see 10-15 percent growth in terms of volume shipments this year.
Asus' new ROG Swift PG348Q LCD monitor won the prestigious CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2016 Innovation award and is said to boost the Asus' gaming PC monitor sales in the current year.
It is expected to hit stores in the second quarter of 2016 with a price range of Rs 1.2 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh depending on the type of configuration, said the company.
For the uninitiated, Asus ROG Swift PG348Q sports a 34-inch gaming monitor with curved ultra-wide Quad HD (UWQHD) IPS screen panel having 3440 x 1440-resolution offering immersive gaming visuals.
With a frameless, curved display, ROG Swift PG348Q has stunning looks, and its ergonomic design with tilt, swivel, and height adjustment controls makes it ideal for all gaming enthusiasts.
It also boasts NVIDIA G-SYNC technology based display having 21:9 aspect ratio which promises ultimate panoramic gaming experience.
With 100Hz rapid refresh rate incorporated in PC display, users will be able to enjoy breathtaking, ultra-smooth gaming visuals with no screen tearing or lag. The company says that users will also have the option to select between 60 and 100Hz refresh rates via Turbo key.
It also comes with ASUS GamePlus feature which gives users the option to choose from four different crosshair options, an in-game timer, and an FPS counter for an added advantage in first-person-shooter and real-time-strategy games. Meanwhile, while ASUS GameVisual technology provides six preset display modes for optimised gaming visuals.
