During an unofficial visit to Rajasthan, Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani met Pandit Nathulal Vyas, known to be one of the best astrologers in India. Vyas had predicted that Irani would rise high in her political career.
Vyas, who had last year predicted that Irani would become a minister despite losing in the 2014 general election, once again prophesied about her political career. He told Irani that she will achieve great success in politics and will go on to become the President in five years.
"She will become the President... in five years," NDTV quoted the 80-year-old astrologer as saying.
Vyas' last year's prediction came true for Irani, who got a plum ministery in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet despite losing the Amethi constituency to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
Smriti Irani, along with her husband Zubin Irani, went to meet Vyas in Karoi village in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district to express gratitude and ask him what future has in store for her now, according to Zee News report.
Responding to media queries about her meeting with Vyas and his prediction about her political career, Irani said media should not be interested in her personal life.
"What I do in my personal life is not the responsibility of the media to report until and unless it affects my duties," Irani said.
