British luxury car-maker Aston Martin unveiled its newest sports car, the DB11, at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in the beginning of this Month. The successor of the DB9 got positive response from public at the show and the latest reports indicate the bookings for the vehicle is also in top gear.
A report in Autocar UK confirms the company has received over 1,400 bookings, adding that close to 500 bookings came from VIP customer preview events and around 400 from the motor show.
Aston Martin, the company known for the cars in the James bond movie series, gave an evolutionary design that remains faithful to the DB theme in the DB11. At the same time, the design is fresh with modern day touches, such as crisp lines that let highly desirable exterior styling. The sports car features LED headlights and huge grille, both give the front end a wide, purposeful stance. Muscular haunches near the rear tyres and all new back-end give a separate character to the DB11 from the previous DB series models.
The interior comes with more room in addition to the modern and premium cabin. The major attraction here is the huge TFT instrument display that can be configured as you wish.
The DB11 is powered by a newly developed 5.2-litre V12 twin-turbo engine that generates 600 horsepower 600bhp at 6,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 700Nm from 1,500rpm. The engine is mated to ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to rear wheels. The DB11 need just 3.9 seconds to reach 100kmph from standstill before reaching top speed of 322kmph.
