British luxury car-maker Aston Martin launched its newest sports car, the DB11 in India for Rs 4.2 crore, ex-showroom Delhi. The DB11 has been unveiled globally at Geneva Motor Show in March 2016. Aston Martin dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai started accepting bookings for the DB11.
The DB11 is the most powerful and most efficient 'DB' production model in Aston Martin's history. The company, known for the cars in the James Bond movies, made a significant design shift in the DB11 but it still remains faithful to the DB series theme.
The sports car features a contemporary design with crisp lines that lend it an attractive exterior styling. It features LED headlights and a wide grille, both giving the front end a wide, purposeful stance. Muscular haunches near the rear tyres and an all-new back-end give it a character that's different from the previous DB series models.
Being Aston Martin model, DB11's interior comes with top quality finish complemented by modern dashboard layout. The major attraction here is the 12-inch TFT instrument display that can be configured as per choice. An 8-inch TFT screen for the infotainment system, Bang & Olufsen audio system and a 360-degree birds-eye camera are the other premium offerings in the DB11.
The DB11 is powered by a newly developed 5.2-litre V12 twin-turbo engine that generates 600bhp at 6,500rpm and a maximum torque of 700Nm from 1,500rpm. The engine is mated to ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to rear wheels. The DB11 need just 3.9 seconds to reach 100kmph from standstill before reaching top speed of 322kmph.
The DB11 is the successor of the DB9 model. The DB10 was exclusively made for the James Bond movie 'Spectre.' One of the 10 models of the DB10 was auctioned in February in London for a whopping price of Rs 24 crore.
