British luxury carmaker Aston Martin unveiled its newest sports car, the DB11, at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March this year. The company now seems to be planning the launch of its latest sports car in India soon.
Aston Martin has scheduled the launch of the successor of DB9 in October 2016, Zigwheels reported. The company, known for the cars in the James Bond movies, made a significant design change in the DB11, but it still remains faithful to the DB series theme.
The car features a contemporary design with crisp lines that lend it an attractive exterior styling. The sports car features LED headlights and a huge grille, both giving the front end a wide, purposeful stance. Muscular haunches near the rear tyres and an all-new back-end give it a character that's different from the previous DB series models.
The interior comes with more room, in addition to the modern and premium cabin. The major attraction here is the huge TFT instrument display that can be configured as per choice.
The DB11 is powered by a newly-developed 5.2-litre V12 twin-turbo engine that generates 600bhp at 6,500rpm and a maximum torque of 700Nm from 1,500rpm. The engine is mated to ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to rear wheels. The DB11 needs just 3.9 seconds to reach 100kmph from standstill before hitting its top speed of 322kmph.
