Thanks to the fact that the upcoming Assassin's Creed game – Assassin's Creed Unity – will be set in the Industrial Revolution, fans will get a host of advanced weapons, compared to the ones available in the previous Assassin's Creed titles. These weapons include voltaic bombs, pistols, kukris, rope launchers and more.
There's a lot that can be said and written about the kind of weapons that will be at your disposal when playing Assassin's Creed Unity; here we take a look at all the weapons that are there in the game, this time around.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate – All the Weapons Detailed
As expected, there will be hidden blades available – a weapon we are so used to seeing in each of the AC titles. These are effective tools for close combat. Aside the hidden blade, there will also be poison dart guns that can save your life.
Sure there will be the Assassin's Gauntlet one more time, but with the new age, the gauntlet has seen some massive improvements. Apart from the fact that you can deliver quite the punch with it, there's more to its use that you really think.
In case you didn't know, kukris were made legendary by the fearless Nepali soldiers, the Gurkhas, who used them to intimidate their enemies. Kukris are menacingly curved knives that resemble sickles, and is great for hacking into your enemies for maximum damage.
The rope launcher is probably the most useful sidekick you will ever have in the game, aside the fact that it's a new entry into the AC franchise. Thanks to it, you won't have to climb tall buildings, and rather can launch yourself across the space to reach the place. You can use zip-lines between buildings and is the best way to get across London.
Another great thing about the new AC title being set in the Industrial Revolution is the availability of electricity. Sure it wasn't as widespread in 1868 as it is today, but there were inventors who were starting to get hold of the finer details – and the end product of that being the voltaic bomb.
For the new AC game, if not anything else, you will always be accompanied by your very reliable cane (since romping around London with a sword is too mainstream). As expected, it's perfect for hitting people, and even use as a stylish walking stick.
During the 19th century, technological advancements were scaling new heights, and a lot of focus was placed on the use of firearms. At the start of the century, single-shot handguns were massively used, but by the time the Industrial Revolution came around, these pistols became popular – albeit noisy.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate is currently set to be released on 23 October, 2015 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and on 19 November, 2015 for PC.
Stay tuned for more updates!
