Upcoming open world video game, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag has pulled up its mainsail in anticipation of its release in October.
The new game is the sixth major instalment in the Assassin's Creed series and introduces the character of Edward Kenway, the pirate. This game will allow players to explore and launch fights from land as well as the sea.
The game is set in the Caribbean Islands in the year 1715. The pirates have set up a lawless republic in the city of Nassau. The game will also feature cities like Havana, Kingston and Bahamas. Pirates come into conflict with navies of British Empire and the Spanish Kingdom.
Kenway is the grandfather of Connor, the main protagonist in Assassin's Creed 3. Kenway will be provided with a ship called Jackdaw that can be upgraded over the course of the game.
Players will have an access to spyglass, which can be used to investigate ships at a distance and they will also be provided with hunting tools like harpoon and javelin.
Along with it, players can also recruit crew members and will be able to "engage, board, and capture passing ships," IGN reported.
The game will be released on Oct 29 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Its PC version is expected to be out on Nov 19, PlayStation 4 version on Nov 15 and Xbox One version on Nov 22.
