One man was killed and three persons injured in a bomb blast in Udalguri district's Borjhar village in Assam early on Sunday.
The deceased, who died on the spot after the explosion, has been identified as Ram Chandra Barman, a scrap dealer, IANS reported.
The incident occurred at around 6:30am when Barman hit a round metal-like object with a hammer at his workplace. The object he hit at was a bomb that he had collected on Saturday evening thinking it to be a scrap.
Inspector General of Police Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) LR Bishnoi confirmed the incident.
