South Indian actress Asin Thottumkal, who forayed into Bollywood through "Ghajini", celebrated her 28th birthday on Saturday. She threw a huge party for her friends and who's who in Bollywood.
It was a star-studded birthday bash with celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her husband Abhishek, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rishi Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Prabhu Deva, Amitabh Bachchan, Chucky Pandey, and several others gracing the occasion.
Asin looked beautiful in a red frock as she welcomed quests to her birthday bash.
It was earlier reported that Raveena Tandon, who shares birthday with Asin, was planning to have a joint birthday bash with the "Ghajini" actress on Saturday but she cancelled it, as she wanted to spend the special occasion with her family. However, the former actress managed to find time for her friend and attended the party.
Asin took up acting career in Sathyan Anthikkad's Malayalam film, "Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka" in 2001. She went on to act in Telugu and Tamil films before foraying into Bollywood. In fact, she ruled Tamil film industry for about five years, acting in films like "M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi", "Ghajini", "Varalaru," Pokkiri," "Vel" and "Dasavathaaram."
She made her Bollywood debut in Aamir Khan's "Ghajini" (2008), a remake of Tamil film in which played female lead role. She went on to act in films like "Ready" opposite Salman Khan, "Housefull 2", "Bol Bachchan" and "Khiladi 786."
