The young star of Malayalam industry Asif Ali is set for his next film "Adventures of Omanakuttan". In the film, touted as a light hearted comedy entertainer, the actor is said to have a complete image makeover.
The film's storyline revolves around a young man and his troubles to succeed in life. The makers have not revealed anything more about the film. Reportedly, the cast and crew of the film are mostly youngsters who are in their early 20's.
"Though it is a light-hearted entertainer, the movie deals with a serious issue interspersed with a string of interesting events. Asif will sport an entirely different look in the film. It is our passion for films that made us come up with such a movie. Its scriptwriter Sameer Abdul is also an IT guy," said director Rohit to The Times of India.
Meanwhile, Asif is awaiting the release of his films "Driver on Duty" and "Mylanchi Monchulla Veedu".
"Driver on duty" is directed by debutant Manoj Palodan and Asif will play as a police jeep driver (Ramakrishnan), who is the only male driver amidst 11 women police officers.
Meanwhile, in "Mylanchi Monchulla Veedu", Asif will be seen as Jayaram's brother. The film, touted as a family entertainer, is directed by debutant Benny K Joseph. The film's script is penned by hit duo Uday Krishna and Siby K Thomas. The film, which is expected to hit theatres in November also has Madhu, Kalabhavan Shajon, Siddique, Meera Nandan and Kaniha in pivotal roles.
However, the shooting of "Adventures of Omanakuttan" is expected to kick start by January 2015. The screenplay and the dialogues are written by Sameer Abdul.
While the cinematography is handled by Akhil George, the editing will be done by Livingstone Mathew. The music of the film is composed by Arun Muraleedharan and Dawn Vincent.
