India's wrestling queen from the Rio 2016 Olympics, Sakshi Malik, is set to give India either a silver or the coveted gold medal from the Asian Wrestling Championship 2017, currently going on in New Delhi. Sakshi takes on Japan's Risako Kawai in the 60kg women's wrestling final on Friday, May 12.
Sakshi, the bronze medallist from Olympics 2016, recorded emphatic wins against Uzbekistan's Nabira Esenbaeva and Kazakhstan's Ayaulym Kassymova of Kazakhstan, respectively, to enter the final.

Meanwhile, Vinesh Phogat, who is rated as the next big phenomenon in the sport, has also made it to the 55kg women's wrestling final, along with Divya Kakran (69 kg).
Geeta and Babita Phogat's younger sister Ritu Phogat, too, is involved in a bronze medal match.

All the matches take place on Friday.
India has so far, clinched one medal -- the bronze -- thanks to Harpreet Singh's impressive display in the 80 kg greco-roman wrestling category.
