India stood fifth among the 12 participating teams in the Asian Wrestling Championship 2017, which concluded on Sunday, May 14.
As predicted, Iran and Japan dominated the points tally by bagging the most number of gold medals in the men's freestyle, men's greco-roman and women's wrestling categories.

India's only gold medal from the competition in New Delhi was won by Bajrang Punia, while the women brought home a plethora of silver medals, giving much hope to fans. A total of 10 medals were bagged by the hosts.
