The Indians are down on their knees. The disappointment is evident. They were the favouties and had headed into the tournament after having finished runners-up in the Champions Trophy.

Women's Discus throw: Seemia Punia wins bronze!

The 2014 gold medallist fights hard and wins a bronze in Jakarta. The 35-year-old came up with her season-best effort of 62.26m to finish on the podium.

Sandeep Kumari finishes fifth.

Muhammad Firhan scores for Malaysia. Sreejesh had saved his first shot but the ball went in of the second shot just inside 8 seconds.

Hockey SF: Shoot-out

Not a good start for India. Manpreet Singh's attempt stopped midway for obstruction. The Indian player asked for a referral but the on-field decision stayed.

Hockey SF: IND 2-2 MAS!

Malaysia find a late equaliser. Muhammad Razie coverts a penalty corner in the penultimate minute of the fourth quarter. India would be disappointed for conceding this late in the match.

Women's Discus final: Seema putting pressure on the Chinese duo

Seema Punia betters her mark by throwing 62.26m (season best) in her third attempt. However, she is still in the third spot behind Chen Yang (64.45m) and Bin Feng (62.34m).

Meanwhile, Sandeep Kumari threw 54.61m but still is in the fifth spot.

Women's Discus final: Chinese duo leading field

Seema Punia commits a foul with her second throw. Her best remains 58.51m, which is good enough to keep her in the third spot.

Meanwhile, China's Yang Chen goes into the lead with a throw of 64.45m. Bin Feng also improved her attempt to 61.84m.

Women's Discus final: Seema in third spot after first attempt

Sandeep Kumari is placed fifth with a throw of 53.20m.

Hockey SF: IND 2-1 MAS

India need only less than a minute to take the lead again. Top-class penalty corner from the Men in Blue.

Harmanpreet Singh came up with a brilliant behind-the-back slip ball to Varun Kumar, who made no mistake as he slotted it into the net!

This has been a brilliant watch so far.

Hockey SF: IND 1-1 MAS

Malaysia equalise with a field goal in the third quarter.

Hockey SF: IND 1-0 MAS

Goal! Harmanpreet Singh takes a clever penalty corner and slotted it past the left of the Malaysian goalkeeper.

It's a great start to the third quarter for India. They have finally converted one after missing five penalty corners.

Can the Indian team make use of the momentum and put the match to bed? How will Malaysia, who were brilliant so far, react to the goal?

Hockey SF: IND 0-0 MAS at the end of second quarter

After a long discussion, India's video referral for a penalty corner was turned down. It remains 0-0 at the end of the second quarter.

Malaysia have managed to test the Indian defence and have defended extremely well in the first two quarters and have made it difficult for the defending champions.

India need to convert the penalty corners as the Malaysians are done pretty well to not give India any chances to finish attacking plays.

Hockey SF: IND 0-0 MAS after 1st quarter

The two goalkeepers — PR Sreejesh and Subramiam Kumar — were two of the busiest men on the pitch in the first quarter. Both the top shot-stoppers were on top form as the match remains goalless at the end of the first quarter.

India started on an attacking note and were able to keep possession for longer periods of time. Malaysians were good on the counter-attack and threatening the Indian defence quite a few times.

It remains 0-0 after the first quarter.

Men's Hockey SF: IND 0-0 MAS

Early drama in the men's semi-final.

Malaysia found the back of the net in the sixth minute but the goal was disallowed after Rupinder Pal Singh went for a quick review. The ball had hit the foot of a Malaysian player after the penalty corner was taken.

Nonetheless, it was an unnecessary foul from Amit Rohidas that had led to the penalty corner.

India had started the match with good attacking intent as they won a penalty corner as early as in the first minute. However, the Malaysian goalkeeper kept Harmanpreet's shot from going in. The veteran shot-stopper has been in fine form!
