Season 1 of Starz's comedy-horror series "Ash vs Evil Dead" ended with a thrilling and gripping conclusion where Ash (Bruce Campbell) and his teammates escaped the woods as the plague started to spread in the world. However, it seems that the journey will be more adventurous for Ash in the second season.
Fans of the series will be delighted to know that the recent rumours regarding the show state that there will be time travelling and creepy mirrors in the upcoming season, just like in the original movies.
Apart from that, the next season might also explore the past of Ash and let the viewers know more about his origin.
According to Digital Spy, in the next episode, Ash will return to his hometown, where he will meet his family and friends. However, there is a significant possibility that he will also meet someone there whom he wasn't expecting to see and it will leave him shocked.
Talking about Ash's stay at his home, executive producer Craig DiGregorio said: "What was his life like? Who were the people that he hung out with in high school? Maybe we'll see members of his family."
The next season will also explain the vagabond nature of Ash and how his personality used to be before the incidents at the cabin in the woods took place. DiGregorio has said that fans will witness a never-before-seen side of the man with a chainsaw hand in Season 2.
As stated by Collider, Digregorio said: "In ["Ash vs. Evil Dead" season 2], I think you're going to learn more about what his life was like before he went to the cabin. Our plan for Season 2 is finding out more about Ash and his distinct past, before he read the book. Who was he and what was he really running away from?"
Though there have been no official release date announced yet, Cinema Blend has reported that Season 2 is expected to premiere in October this year, most probably around Halloween.
