Fans of "Evil Dead" movies loved Starz's "Ash vs Evil Dead" television series that is a sequel to the original comedy-horror movie trilogy and are eagerly waiting for the second season of the series.
"Ash vs Evil Dead" tells the story of the protagonist of the franchise, Ash Williams (portrayed by Bruce Campbell), who embarks upon a journey to destroy the Deadite plague after he mistakenly released it from the book of Necronomicon, also referred as "Book of the Dead" in the series.
According to several rumours surfacing on internet regarding Season 2 of "Ash vs Evil Dead," the upcoming season will include elements from the original movies and Ash might travel to a different time-line for a second time.
Movie Pilot has reported that one of the most remarkable moments in Season 1 was when Amanda (Jill Marie) looked at the cabin's mirror and got a glimpse of something horrifying.
In the third movie of the original trilogy, "Army of Darkness," Ash encountered a similar mirror that had caused the birth of Evil Ash – an evil doppelganger of Ash. Though Evil Ash has already appeared in Season 1, the sinister mirror might be included in next season that can create more such bizarre creatures.
As stated by Movie News Guide, Ash might land in the Middle Ages again, just like "Army of Darkness." However, this time, he would surely be accompanied by his ever loyal companions, Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo).
According to Den of Geek, Campbell had stated in the past that he had discussed a lot of ideas with the series creator Sam Raimi regarding the further story. However, since it was not possible to use all those ideas in one movie, they approached Starz for a television series and that is how "Ash vs Evil Dead" came into existence.
As reported by Den of Geek, Season 2 of "Ash vs Evil Dead" will premiere Sept. 23, 2016, on Starz.
