Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the U.S. President Barack Obama on the second day of the ASEAN Summit on Thursday to hold bilateral talks.
The White House said that the U.S. President held a bilateral meeting with PM Modi on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Vientiane, Laos.
"In the afternoon, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India," the White House has earlier stated in a press release.
The U.S. President is scheduled to leave for the United States soon after the news conference on Thursday.
PM Modi had also exchanged views with Obama during the Group of 20 (G20) Summit in China on Sunday. Obama had praised Modi for India's "bold policy" on GST reform in such a difficult global scenario.
