The Gorakhpur police have registered an FIR against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi after he allegedly posted a morphed image of Yogi Adityanath on Facebook, reports said.
Earlier, an FIR was lodged against his younger brother and AIMIM legislator, Akbaruddin Owaisi, for allegedly making an inflammatory speech at an election rally in Kishanganj district of Bihar.
He had allegedly used derogatory language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Kishanganj rally.
AIMIM is contesting in Muslim-dominated constituencies in the Seemanchal region of Bihar, comprising Kishanganj, Purnea, Araria and Katihar districts that account for 24 of the state assembly's 243 seats.
